MOUNT ELBRUS CLIMBING TOURS
About Mount Elbrus
Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe at 5,642 meters, is a dormant volcano located in the Caucasus Mountains. It has two distinct summits, with the western summit being higher than the eastern one (5,621 meters). Elbrus is part of the Seven Summits challenge and is often one of the first mountains climbers conquer as part of this program. While the climb is not technically demanding, the high altitude and unpredictable weather, including strong winds and freezing temperatures, can pose significant challenges. Elbrus is also home to several glaciers, and its summit is covered in snow year-round, making it a remarkable destination for adventurers from around the globe.
About the Company
We are a local tour operator specializing in climbs to Mount Elbrus and Mount Kazbek, with 15 years of experience and over 5,000 successful summits. Our clients come from all over the world, including many from Western Europe, the US, and the UK. Our guides and managers are fluent in English and Spanish, providing support in these languages. We organize small groups of up to eight people for more comfortable accommodation in mountain huts. We offer a full range of services: visa and flight support, insurance, transfers, hotel bookings, additional excursions, and equipment rental. We cater to all dietary needs, including kosher, halal, and vegetarian options. Payments are accepted online via credit card or bank transfer. In addition to private clients, we also partner with travel agencies worldwide.
Visa Matters
Russia welcomes citizens from 64 countries visa-free, while citizens of 55 countries, including those in the EU and India, can apply for an electronic visa online without having to visit a consulate. The e-visa is processed in just four days. If needed, we can submit the e-visa application on behalf of our clients. Citizens of other countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States, will need to obtain a regular visa from the Russian Consulate, which takes up to three weeks. In this case, a tourist invitation from us is required, which we will provide immediately after booking the tour. In our years of operation, we have not had a single visa refusal for our clients from Western Europe, the UK, or the USA.

You need to secure mountaineering insurance valid in Russia, which can be arranged through us. The coverage amount is 50,000 USD. Additionally, this insurance is required when applying for any type of visa.
Elbrus Climbing Routes
We offer a variety of tours to Mount Elbrus, varying in difficulty, duration, length, and price. You can join one of our scheduled group climbs (see our calendar) or book a private tour on your preferred dates.

Our most popular tour is the Comfort Climb of Elbrus from the South, chosen by 90% of our clients. This is the easiest program—no need to carry a heavy backpack, with accommodation in a hotel and mountain hut. The cable car is used, and a snowcat can be added as an option.

A slightly modified version of this tour is also available in winter. However, the Winter Climb of Elbrus is recommended only for those with previous experience climbing 5,000-meter peaks in the summer. The winter climb can be combined with skiing during acclimatization, and for advanced skiers, with a ski descent from the summit of Mount Elbrus.

For those seeking a more rugged experience, we offer Climbing Elbrus from the North, which includes staying in tents. You’ll need to carry a heavy backpack, but porter services are available.

If you're after the most scenic and challenging route Climbing Elbrus from the East is ideal. There’s no civilization along this path—just pure nature: rocks, waterfalls, and glaciers.

For those short on time, we offer a one-day Elbrus climb with supplemental oxygen. This tour is private and can be arranged for any day that suits you.

Additionally, you can combine your Elbrus climb with a prior ascent of Mount Kazbek in Georgia. This option provides excellent acclimatization for Elbrus, allows you to summit two of the Caucasus' 5,000-meter peaks, and offers convenient logistics with arrival in Tbilisi.

After a successful ascent, you will receive a unique official badge for summiting Elbrus from the Russian Mountaineering Federation and a certificate of completion with online authenticity verification.
