About the Program
The most popular and relatively easy Mount Elbrus climbing tour - directly from a local tour operator. We've run this program for 15 years. Choose from 30 regular departures between April and October 2026. (From November to March, we offer the Winter Climb of Elbrus). Our groups include participants from around the world, including the UK, USA, and Western Europe, with instructions in EN and ES. Groups of up to 12, 9 or 6 climbers by package, up to 4 climbers per guide on summit day. Early booking discounts and visa support available.

Minimize
Day 1
Arrival
The group transfer leaves Mineralnye Vody airport at 11:00 and stops at the Beshtau hotel in Pyatigorsk at 12:00, so please arrive at the airport before 11:00. If you arrive via Tbilisi, the group transfer leaves Tbilisi airport at 6:30 and the city centre at 7:30, so plan to arrive the day before. At our office we hand out the equipment and meet the guide for a briefing on the route. Then we drive to the Elbrus region and check in to the accommodation of your package for the first of four nights in the valley.
Day 2
Mount Cheget
We hike up Mount Cheget with light daypacks. We take a packed lunch, included depending on your package, and have lunch on the mountain with a view of Mount Elbrus. Our instructor will guide you on proper walking and breathing techniques in the mountains to minimize fatigue. From the top, enjoy stunning panoramas of Mount Elbrus and the Baksan Gorge. For the descent we use the cable car to save our legs and conserve energy.
Day 3
Devichi Kosi Waterfall
Another acclimatization day. We carry small daypacks with a thermos and a lunch box, included depending on your package. We hike up to the Devichi Kosi waterfall, have lunch there and take a refreshing dip, then climb further to the Observatory. We return to the valley by the evening.
Day 4
Mountain Hut
We take the cable car up and walk to the mountain hut on the slope of Elbrus, where we spend the next four nights in the accommodation of your package. A short walk up the snowy slope follows. The guide runs training in two essential skills: moving on a rope and walking in crampons on snow and ice.
Day 5
Altitude 5000 m
The main acclimatization day: a climb of 1 200 m to 5 000 m. You will feel the thin air, and this is exactly what prepares the body for the summit and makes the summit day easier. Reaching at least 4 700 m today is a condition for the summit attempt.
Day 6
Rest Day
A rest day before the climb. We will practice self-arrest techniques on the icy slope using an ice axe. We will also review other previously learned skills. We will take a short walk to keep our muscles and respiratory system active. We will prepare our backpacks for the ascent. An early bedtime (17:00) will allow us to get enough rest before the climb. In the event of a poor weather forecast for the upcoming days, we may forgo the rest day and proceed with the ascent.
Day 7
Summit Day
We set out at midnight. From the hut we climb roped up, in crampons, with ice axes, helmets and headlamps, carrying snacks, hot tea and water. We walk very slowly to keep our breathing steady and save energy. The ascent usually takes 8 to 10 hours and the descent another 3 to 4. A snowcat or snowmobile can take the group from the hut up to 4 700 or 5 000 m and pick it up at the same height on the way down, depending on your package. We spend the night at the mountain hut.
Day 8
Descent to the Valley
We descend by cable car and transfer to the valley for the last night, in the accommodation of your package. The rest of the day is planned with the group on the spot: a walk through the forest to the mineral spring, or an evening in a traditional Russian banya, depending on your package. In the evening we award the summit certificates. If the weather has forced a change, this day is the reserve day: a second summit attempt is possible, included depending on your package.
Day 9
End of the Tour
After breakfast, at 8:00 the group transfer leaves for Pyatigorsk and Mineralnye Vody airport; on the way we stop at Narzan Meadows to taste the mineral water. Please book your return flight from Mineralnye Vody no earlier than 14:00. If you leave via Tbilisi, the transfer takes over 8 hours, so choose a flight after 22:00. If you are short on time and cannot spare 9 days, look at our One-Day Elbrus climb with supplemental oxygen.

FLIGHT TICKETS
You need to fly into one of two airports: Mineralnye Vody (MRV) or Tbilisi (TBS). The transfer from Tbilisi takes over 8 hours and is an additional charge. Mineralnye Vody is the nearest airport to Elbrus. Direct flights to Mineralnye Vody are available from Tbilisi, Istanbul, Aktau, Almaty, Antalya, Baku, Dubai, Yerevan, Tel Aviv, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Moscow and many Russian cities. Flights can be booked through us.

Group transfer Tbilisi ⇄ Elbrus
Shared transfer from Tbilisi to Elbrus and/or back. Departure on the first day of the tour at 6:30 AM from TBS Airport or at 7:30 AM from Tbilisi city center. The return transfer departs at 8:00 AM on the last day of the tour. The price shown is per person, one way.
Mountaineering insurance
Insurance for all days of the tour, coverage amount 50,000 USD, including helicopter evacuation and search and rescue coverage.
Snowcat
Ascent and descent by snowcat on the summit day.
Single Hotel Occupancy Upgrade
Accommodation in the same hotel as the rest of the group, but in a private room instead of shared 6–8 person dormitory rooms. The price is per night. The tour program includes a total of 4 nights in the hotel.

Complete e-visa processing service. You will receive a ready-to-use e-visa. The consular fee is included in the price.
Standard Visa Application
