This is the most budget-friendly and and easiest option for climbing Elbrus. The program involves no trekking with heavy backpacks and uses a funicular. It's similar to our Comfortable Climb Mt Elbrus tour, but in this case, we stay in tents rather than hotels and huts. Participants prepare their own meals. This tour is only available during the warm summer months. If you are interested in climbing during other times of the year, consider our Off-Season Option or Winter Climb Mt Elbrus.

Ден 1
Arrival
We'll meet you at Mineralnye Vody Airport (no later than 12:00) or at Tbilisi Airport (in this case, you should arrive the day before). Transfer to our office for equipment distribution and meeting the guide. Group briefing about the route and Q&A session. Transfer to the Elbrus Region. Accommodation in a camping site, in tents.
Ден 2
Mount Cheget
Hiking light with small daypacks to Mount Cheget. The guide will teach you how to walk and breathe properly at high altitude to minimize fatigue. The ascent takes about 4 hours. From the top, enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Elbrus and the Baksan Gorge. We descend by cable car to save energy and protect our legs.

Waterfall Devichi Kosy.
Another acclimatization day. We’ll take small daypacks with a thermos and snacks. We’ll hike up to the Devichi Kosy Waterfall, where we’ll have lunch and take a dip. Afterward, we’ll continue up to the Observatory. We’ll return to the campsite by evening.

Mountain Hut.
Transfer to the cable car and ascent to the snowy slopes of Elbrus. Set up the tents. Short hike up the snowy slope. The instructor will conduct training in two basic mountaineering skills: rope techniques and walking in crampons on snowy and icy terrain.
Ден 5
Height 5000 m.
We set out early in the morning. We go light, bringing only a snack, a thermos with hot tea, and water. You will need to gain around 1200 meters to reach an altitude of 5000 meters. On this day, you will experience a lack of oxygen and it will be tough, but this will help you acclimatize, making the actual ascent easier.

Rest Day Before the Summit.
A rest day before the climb. We will practice self-arrest techniques on the ice slope using an ice axe and review other previously learned skills. We’ll take a short walk to keep our muscles and respiratory system in good shape. We’ll prepare our backpacks for the ascent. Early bedtime (5:00 PM) to ensure a good rest before the climb. If the weather forecast for the following days is poor, we may skip the rest day and proceed with the ascent.

Summit Day
We start at midnight with 1 hour for preparations. We head towards the summit of Elbrus. From the assault camp, we will move in ropes, wearing crampons, with ice axes, helmets, and headlamps. Bring snacks, a thermos with hot tea, and water. We will proceed very slowly to avoid breathlessness and conserve energy. The ascent typically takes 8-10 hours, and the descent another 3-4 hours. (If you wish to use supplemental oxygen during the climb, it can be rented from us.)

Descent to the Valley
We descend to the valley via the cable car. Transfer to Essentuki. Our tour concludes here. If needed, this day will be used as a reserve day for the summit climb.
Ден 9
Last Day of the Tour
On this day, the group will return to Essentuki if the previous day was used for the summit climb. You should book your return flight for any time after 14:00. If needed, you can take a shower at our office.
Ден 1. Arrival

You need to arrive at airport of Mineralnye Vody (MRV) or Tbilisi (TBS) or Kutaisi (KUT). Transfer from Tbilisi (Georgia) or Kutaisi (KUT) takes over 8 hours and is an additional charge. Mineralnye Vody is the nearest airport to Elbrus. Direct flights to Mineralnye Vody are available from Tbilisi, Istanbul, Aktau, Almaty, Antalya, Baku, Dubai, Yerevan, Tel Aviv, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Moscow, and many Russian cities. Our manager will help you find the best flight option.

Russia welcomes citizens from 64 countries without a visa, while citizens of 55 countries can access an electronic visa without visiting the consulate. For others, obtaining a visa at the Russian Consulate in your country is necessary, taking up to 3 weeks; applications can be made 3 months prior to entry. A tourist invitation from us is required.

You need to secure mountaineering insurance valid in Russia, which can be arranged through us. The coverage amount is 50,000 USD. This insurance covers potential costs for emergency medical assistance, including hospital stays, search and rescue operations in the mountains (including helicopter services), medical transportation, and repatriation to your permanent residence.
